About us

 Duron A. Lee, MD is a board-certified family medicine & primary care sports medicine physician at HCA Lake Nona Primary Care located in the Lake Nona Performance Club in Orlando, FL and is a faculty member of the University if Central Florida School of Medicine. He is also an interventional regenerative orthopedics and sports medicine physician at Regenexx at New Regeneration Orthopedics of Florida located in Winter Park, FL.

 Dr. Lee was born in Boston, Massachusetts and grew up Springfield, Massachusetts, the “Birthplace of Basketball.” He graduated with a chemistry degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and completed his Master’s of Science degree in Biomedical Science at Barry University in Miami Shores, FL.  He attended medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and completed his family medicine residency at Bryn Mawr Hospital in after initially starting his residency training in general surgery. He discovered that his passion lied with caring for the whole patient, family and community and dedicated himself to pursue a career in primary care medicine. He completed his primary care sports medicine fellowship training at The Pennsylvania State University and was head team physician for men’s and women’s rugby and served as assistant team physician for division 1 varsity sports.  

 He has conducted extensive research as a doctoral candidate in biomedical engineering in the fields of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering focusing on the use of adult stem cells, biomaterials and growth factor delivery systems.  Dr. Lee’s clinical interests include providing excellent care to patients of all ages. He is detail oriented and takes a systematic and evidenced-based approach to medicine. He also employs the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound as a diagnostic and therapeutic tool and orthobiologics, such as platelet rich plasma (PRP) injection therapy in his care for patients.  Dr. Lee remains passionate about bringing his diverse clinical and academic background to all patients taking into consideration each patient’s unique constitution,regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender, and physical or mental capacity.

Dr. Lee is an assistant professor of family medicine at the University of Central Florida School of Medicine and serves as a charter member of the HCA Healthcare Physician Services Group, North Florida Division Physician Advisory Board subcommittee for primary care. He also serves as a member of the board for Florida Care Partners Orlando, LLC and is a member of the Board of Trustees for William Peace University, where he serves on the academic affairs committee. He is member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated and has dedicated himself to a lifetime of community service. In his free time, he enjoys indulging in an eclectic variety of music and food, cooking, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
